Crowne Plaza Guangzhou City Centre, an IHG Hotel

Hotel was very nice and reception were very efficient and polite. However the Chinese restaurant was terrible, food was mediocre, waiting staff were hopeless, clearly never had any training, the robot that fetched the food from the kitchen was the only thing that worked correctly. The breakfast was expensive (I’ve had better and cheaper in a London hotel) as soon as we found a clean table and sat down the waiter announced that the restaurant would be closing in 10 minutes so hurry up and get your food, however many of the items were empty/unavailable even the omelette chef told us to select what we wanted in our omelette but half the bowls were empty. Shame because it is a nice hotel which is let down by poor restaurant management. To be fair I would go back again but wouldn’t use the restaurants.

Spacious room, very comfy bed, pillow and comforter. AC was also excellent. Huge bathroom. Very good and spacious shower cubicle with high pressure water. Superb location reachable distance to most places. The concierge got me my train ticket to Hng Kong. They charged 50 cny service charge but that saved me a lot of time and money. The breakfast range of food was HUGE.

Very good breakfast, quite ok wifi as far as Chinese standard is concerned, good swimming pool (although 22:30 closing time is quite ridiculous for swimming pool and sauna). Clean rooms. Almost perfect stay.

Please add more pure vegetarian items in breakfast. because of people who belonging to Jain & most of Hindu community from India , they didn't eat Egg, Fish, Beef, Meat etc. so please consider about this point & add more Indian vegetarian food in breakfast.

Location was excellent for conducting our business, bed and sheets used were very comfortable, amenities in the room were adequate.
